Demerits/Disadvantages:
1.Defects in carelessly made floor cannot be rectified and requires proper attention while laying.
2.It cannot be repaired by patch work.

What are the characteristics of a good Flooring?
Any floor should have the following general characteristics
- The floor should be strong and durable.
- It should have an aesthetic look
- It should be free from dampness
- It should be economical and should have low maintenance cost
- It should be fire resistant
- It should provide a smooth and non slippery surface.
- It should have good sound insulation properties
